ABOUT ABOUT

Comedy Night at The Grapevine Cafe is coming back on April 21 with five of the finest comedic minds in the area. Debbie Joan Miller and P.S.Y.C.H. 607 are bringing in Elliott Elliott, Phil Canarelli, AJ McIntyre, Mike Ciurzynski and Angelia Petrillo to tell jokes, stories, sing and, if asked nicely enough, maybe even dance.

Tickets are available for $5 at the door and online at djmshows.ticketleap.com/grapevine-comedy-april. The doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show begins at 7:30. Call or stop in at The Grapevine Cafe to reserve tables for dinner prior to the day of the show.

About the promoter:
Debbie Miller, a Binghamton favorite, is the architect of the Night of Debauchery series, the Debonair Affair and the Comedy Nights at the Grapevine Cafe. In three years as a comedian, Miller used her enthusiastic style to establish herself as a strong host while organizing and running Matty B’s open-mic nights. A P.S.Y.C.H. 607 member, too, she’s hosted numerous shows in Binghamton and Scranton and worked behind the scenes on the production and social-media promotion sides to ensure things have gone smoothly.

About the comedians:

A punk rock fan with no music talent, Elliott Elliott is a Scranton comedian with a deep knowledge of music, pop culture and pro wrestling. He's a go-to host in the Scranton scene and is a founder of StreetKar Comedy. An accomplished character and improvisational comedian, Elliott produces an online show, Creep City USA.

Poor Decisions Live! co-founder Phil Canarelli is no stranger to Binghamton. One of the bright spots in Utica, Canarelli combines a love story-telling, comic-book culture and not having children to present the audience with an enjoyable display of what a young comic should be. He does not like squirrels.

From Long Island, N.Y., comedian AJ McIntyre burst out of the Ithaca scene recently and is making a name for himself across the region. McIntyre shuffles between Ithaca, Syracuse, Binghamton and Cortland to spread his wisdom and tales to any audience that'll listen.

One third of the Binghamton Comedy Binge, Mike Ciurzynski combines a sharp wit, a punk rock attitude and three chords to please audiences wherever he goes. Ciurzynski is everywhere the Comedy Binge is: The Binghamton Comedy Crawl, Virgil's at Tioga Downs and next -- in your hearts. He’s ready to unleash his middle-aged angst on anyone willing to listen.

Nothing is off-limits for Angelia Petrillo, who's everywhere around the Scranton area and has performed in New York City. Petrillo produces shows all over Scranton and won Matty B's Roast Battle II. A founder of StreetKar Comedy, Petrillo combines heavy doses of self-loathing and her musical talent to keep the crowd laughing.
